Public Relations is Goodwill Advertising
While advertising is a quick and often rather short-lived endeavour, public relations is long-term goodwill advertising. The main objective of PR is improving potential clients’ awareness of your institution or company and to create a long-term relationship of confidence between yourself and your target audience. Public relations is a never ending story.
“How do people talk to one another? Without hearing.” This was a statement of Kurt Tucholsky, a well-known German writer and politically engaged journalist (1890-1935), who viewed society with a critical eye. But Tucholsky’s words need not describe an unalterable fact.
Hoffmeister-komm (“komm” is the short form of “Kommunikation”, the German word for communication) wants to support you in improving communication between you and your target audience. Without “Chinese whispers”, but rather by using words and visualisations that are easy for your target audience to comprehend.
When hoffmeister-komm / öffentlichkeitsarbeit · mediengestaltung was founded in 2013, the focus was initially on the broad range of “communication from A to Z”.
Meanwhile, the following focal points have emerged: translation & translation management (various language combinations) – text/agricultural journalism (especially animal science; animal nutrition platform www.nutriani.de) – proofreading.
